Join us on Friday 8 March, 6pm, for a night of Pōneke based noise artists performing in response to our exhibition Proposal for a Body by Jo Bragg & Georgina Brett.

NOTE: This event is R18, and features light nudity and sexual references.

Frogmeat

Frogmeat is a flexible noise group venturing forecasted but uncapturable crevices. Convened by multimedia artist / musician Sophia Frudd and composer / violinist Mallory Elmo, it lends its name and spirit to their performances as a duo or with occasional and regular collaborators. Their good friend Baxter Gray will join Friday's formation.

Nothing Sounds

Nothing Sounds is the primary project of multidisciplinary artist Zero. Bringing together sampling, synthesis, field recordings, and various noise generation techniques, her work has been an ongoing investigation into the experiential qualities of trauma, attempting to convey her lived experiences through sound. The results are long-form compositions that fluctuate between the blissful and organic to despondent, crushing harsh noise, framed through the symbology of Catholicism.

Ritual Heaps

Ritual Heaps makes noise for psychic defence.
Ritual Heaps uses synths, delay, microphones, and feedback.
Ritual Heaps emphasises duration, body, and discomfort.

Light refreshments provided.
